You must find a way to override your default User Agent and post with it overrided. I'm not actually using Googlebot.

So you can't do the things that the real Googlebot can?

Step one: Get a Kubuntu CD (free at kubuntu.org )and install it to a separate partition of your hard drive
Step two: Start up konqueror and go to Settings>Browser identification, edit it to say googlebot
Step three: ????
Step four: Profit!

You might wanna ask Bassir for a better description. gonk;

If you really want to, Firefox can do it too. There's an extension called User Agent switcher. If you have common knowledge with computers, you'd know what to do with it.

Well, then I'm getting it. If only it could change that my OS was recognized as Windows ME on here too. I love ME, and ME-Tan.

Which presents a problem. I'll need to have many info copies and Registration windows open to get that to work. Hold on.

I do believe they said they're not actually using Googlebot, but the modification they have makes the forum THINK They're using Googlebot. It's supposed to be simple.

I'm having trouble with the addon thought again, as I got it to read me as ME, but I can't figure out how to work it so it has an original browser name that would actually work. I'm positive it's possible.

I thought it just tricks the website into thinking it it Googlebot? Anyways, I heard you can do stuff, using Googlebot or just pretending, I hear you can still do stuff with it.

The mask saying it's Googlebot is a small change, and doesn't change the functions of the browser, however, things like Firefox's IE TAB will, by rendering IE INSIDE of Firefox.

It's confusing, I know. I get myself stuck on here sometimes too.

Googlebot is just a automated web site indexer with a unique User Agent which I have got and disguised as my own. Needless to say, no one can actually use Googlebot. Googlebot is a "robot".

ME sucks, it was the most unstable of Windows.

Unsurprisingly, Windows 98 is more secure than XP.

Only an opinion of an uneducated multitasking jackass.

ME, before the final release, when it was still an RC was the most stable of ANY windows ever. We have one, too. We also got a couple OEMs here which work okay, but are shitty finals.

People say 2000 is the best but it has the most problems in terms of browsers. It's like a mac.

XP is good, and fancy, and most new stuff runs on it...

I still Value ME.
