robocop;
Good choice or no?
yes, good choice
What's a Imac.
I've heard of an iMac, but no such thing as that, are you buying some cheap knock off?
Very good choice.

hurr hurr ur funny
i have one
The 20 inch model supposedly has a six bit screen... which is millions of colors less than the 8 bit screens in the 24 inch and all sizes of all previous models. If you're getting it for art, be wary of that.
i don't notice a difference and colors actually look slightly better on my 20 inch somehow
im getting it for personal use
Yes, I say go for it. I bought a Mac Pro for just using it for editing video and it is one of the best investments I have made. I still use just a Dell Laptop for typing up school papers, browsing the internet, ect.
But yeah go for it.
not a very good choice, but I guess it works for some.
Reason:
I have no clue why anyone would ever buy a desktop, unless you need something with a LOT of power. The only reason you'd need power is if you're gaming or doing professional art. But macs suck for gaming.
However, iMacs are kinda nice, so I guess if that's what you want, it's my #1 pick for non-gaming desktop.
But once again, desktops are kinda lame, why not get a MacBook (Pro)?

you and ZACK777 need to stop making up your iMac screen sizes.

I really don't want to start the OS X vs. Windows argument, but it must be said that if gaming were really one's interest, iMac's have nice graphics cards and processors, and run Windows better than PC's do.

Because Macbook Pros are more expensive than iMacs and less powerful? If you're always on the road or using it in class, a Macbook Pro would be nice, but otherwise, an iMac is better.
And I do plenty of gaming on my iMac. It's not the best for gaming, but a midline model works great.
