QuoteTwo years ago, I proposed a compromise between carnivores and vegetarians: We couldn't change our craving for meat, but we could change the way we sated it. The solution was to grow meat in labs, the way we grow therapeutic tissue from stem cells.
Looks like I might get my wish.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has just offered a $1 million prize to anyone who develops a commercially viable "in vitro chicken-meat product." The catch is that the product can't contain or entail the use of "animal-derived products, except for starter cells obtained in the initial development stages."
The idea is simple: Instead of growing a chicken embryo into a bird and cutting meat from it, you skip the bird part and grow the meat directly from the embryo.

So now that this might become possible there could be no cause for objection as no animals would be harmed in the process.
But what's this...
QuotePETA co-founder Ingrid Newkirk tells the New York Times that the prize offer caused "a near civil war in our office" and that "we will have members leave us over this." Newkirk observes, "In any social cause community, there are people who strive for purity."
Oh the fags still want to control the rest of us and push their views on meat eaters even thought their main argument of animal harm would no longer old up. Shocking.
The PETA needs to be shot.
Faggots.
We really need to just continue getting our meat the way we always have. Naturally. But also prosecute those guilty of the extremely isolated, but still terrible cruelty in slaughterhouses.
And then tell people to quit bitching.
i like meat
Though PETA is highly hypocritical organization, the idea of growing meat in labs does have some benefits unrelated to how "cruel" it is to animals.
It allows for more meat to be produced with less resources(no having to feed cows and deal with all of the waste) which can help drive down the cost of food and deal with world hunger. Unfortunately I don't think it has reached the point where we know the risks associated with growing meat. I also hear that lab grown meat tastes like shit.

nor will they have a legitimate reason to complain.
They've almost never had a legitimate reason to complain, what's so different about that? They still do.

Who cares, the veggie fags would be the only ones to eat it, and they likely wont know what grown meat tastes like nor will they have a legitimate reason to complain.
if they do that won't they stop producing meat the normal way?
I mean, if it were option, probably virtually everyone except the small portion of vegetarians would eat the "lab" meat, and the effort would be voided.

I want natural meat
uh, i'm pretty sure that not all vegetarians are peta members
some might be vegetarian for dietary concerns but hey whatever they're faggots and i hope they die those faggots grrrr madood;
I hate how vegetarians brag about not eating meat, then when asked why they don't eat meat they say because it was once living.
pretty cool reason because plants are living, and a hippie's boycott of meat isn't going change the practices of slaughtering animals

The only faggots are those that continue to hate and try to force others into their practice, regardless, not those who live and let live.
