Title: Help with my computer
Post by: Wrench on May 16, 2007, 04:56:32 PM
On Monday, my Windows Defender program detected something wrong running on my computer so it said to restart the computer to remove it. So I restart it. Now none of my icons will show up, and my start menu is gone. It was hard as hell to get my Firefox up. Computer is an Emachine T3120.
Much help would be appreciated.

Restart your computer, or maybe you might want to reformat it?  psyduck;

Press ALT+CTRL+DEL until the Windows Task Manager appears, go to the Processes tab, find and explorer.exe, terminate it by clicking end process. After that, in the Windows Task Manager, go to file > New Task > explorer.exe > OK.
