Alright first off, I, my entire life, have taken a LONG time to fall asleep. I thought it was normal to take about an hour to fall asleep as a child. When I got older I realized it wasn't really normal.
But whatever, anyway, I recently started trying to lucid dream, and I found this extremely effective technique to fall asleep quickly. For the past month, I have been falling asleep within about 5-8 minutes.
What I do is I...
lay on my back, my arms above my head, and lightly grasping my sheets in my hands.
stay perfectly still the whole time
While inhaling, count up 1...2...3, and while exhaling, state a simple phrase like "I will fall asleep"
Also try to imagine the numbers/phrase visually in the blackness of your eye sockets as you think them.
I ALWAYS fall asleep before or around 100. Every time.
K, I have no trouble sleeping
That relaxes you to the point where you lose consciousness and sleep. psyduck;
I did that as a kid just to see if it was real and I almost got in trouble since I left the microwave on.
I pop a few advil pm's, and im out cold in 20 minutes baddood;
