Title: Sleep Peeves
Post by: Himu on March 28, 2008, 10:46:41 PM
Okay I'm a light sleeper and I can barely sleep when there is any bright light.  Any consecutive noise (I hate when I go to a sleepover and they rock back and forth, back and forth.) Hearing my parents snore, which is like a pig choking on a hot tub.  And Worst of all, when the T.V. is blaring downstairs.

So what are your sleeping peeves? doodthing;

I have to have my fan on. I can't sleep at all without it.  :(

Having a TV or radio be on anywhere in the house. If I can see or hear it, I can't sleep. It really sucks when it's a TV downstairs, because then I have to go all the way down there to turn it off. :'(

I have to have a fan on, or at least not be hot. I also need to be wearing a blanket. And I also like all of the doors to be closed, but I can sleep without that.

Not much in terms of distractions keeps me awake

Well, it gets pretty hard to sleep with my cat trying to use my face as a pillow. baddood;

I can't sleep with light other than just a few LED things. The Wii's disk slot light can keep me from sleeping when it's lit.

Laughing when others are around and police shows absolutely drive me nuts. My father always has the volume up to about 25 in the livingroom and I can hear it with my doors closed. I don't mind sitting down in the living room and hearing a war movie or something or some people having a casual conversation, but distant sounds are abysmally annoying. Also, periods of silence with loud outbursts drive me nuts, which is why I hate laughter and it always wakes me up.

Sweet smels also dry my throat and sicken me, keeping me awake or waking me up sick.
