The Super Nintendo is the best system ever, so that.
If you don't like shmups, don't bother with the Saturn because the Panzer Dragoon games and 2D platformers and whatnot, while good, probably won't satisfy you.
Don't bother with a Dreamcast.

O_0 Oh my god. I agree with Lawlz on a video game related opinion. What the hell?
SNES
I didn't see it as an option until after I voted.
Hey I have a spare SNES in my closet.
SNES
WHY WOULD YOU EVEN POSSIBLY GET A SATURN OR A DREAMCAST OVER AN SNES

SNES's will run me probably up to 60 dollars, plus shit more for cartridges. Dreamcast will run me like 45 bucks.
Never looked into Saturn prices, but whatever lol

Saturn prices are more variable. Some are around the cost of a Dreamcast, while others go up to $70 or so.

Super Nintendo's are really that expensive?
but yeah, go for the super nintendo, and if you ever crave another system at some point, get a saturn
Dreamcast doesn't have much going for it unless you import shmups.

depends. i could get one that looks like it has dog shit smeared all over it for 45, but for 60 i get the whole package, it looks nice, and usually comes with a game.

My Dreamcast had about six dozen cockroach eggs inside it and I didn't know it until I turned it on and heard some nasty rattling and looked under the game (because the game came with the system and was a mistake of the Rhino employees) and saw a mess of cockroach eggs.
I spent the rest of that night shaking the beast until they all fell out.
Also, the game I got was valued at $18 so I really only paid $12 for the system.

I honestly never thought about that, but I could never use one. I need the meaty old console and its original controllers to enjoy the games. Not seeing an official logo and all that kind of takes away from the experience and excitement of getting a piece of gaming history and an object a child's life revolved around.
I don't remove writing or stickers from any game or system I buy because I like it to keep records of all its travels. Maybe I'm crazy.
