Yes. All they do is add a system to the sales every few seconds. Supposedly they update it to a more accurate number when the press releases them, but I doubt it. There is a video on Youtube explaining the whole process of how nexgen gets their "sales info".
That's why I'm selling mine for a 360 educate;
