Plant, you dick. Your solo material isn't that good. DO ANOTHER TOUR. ;___;
I really hope that for some reason this turns out to be untrue, though it seems unlikely. I suppose Plant might change his mind eventually...I really hope he does.

Is that woman selling me a Rolex?[/spoiler]
but i guess that sux i dunno
Yeah. As much as I was secretly hoping, I had a feeling things weren't going to mesh. Man, from the band's standpoint, I just can't imagine why they wouldn't, especially with the sheer multitude of people who would gladly give an arm to see them live again. Really too damn bad. Tickets would be a bitch to get though....

Well, according to that article, Page and Jones were more than ready to tour again. But Plant said he just didn't want to, and that he felt they had already gone out with enough of a bang. Plus I guess he feels his solo career conflicts with a possible tour.
I feel the same way about Pink Floyd.
David says Pink is dead and never coming back and wants to work on his solo crap.
Goddamn you Robert Plant, goddamn you. Like Kaz said, NO ONE GIVES A SHIT ABOUT YOUR SOLO STUFF.
Led Zeppelin is going to be at Bonnaroo
lol nvm it's Lez Zeppelin
Plant's recent success is in his head. He's thinking "Bullshit, I don't need to play with a couple of old men anymore. I got myself a smokin' hot bluegrass chick to make music with. Thanks to my old age, my junk don't work and no one will know that she turns me on."
How do you know they'll never tour again?

I put "as of now" to try to convey that they currently plan never to again, or at least Plant does.
Regardless, I just hope he changes his mind.

There's still hope, at least until another one kicks the bucket.

It better not be Page that dies next. :(

Actually, I'd kinda like to see a Jones and Plant tour.

I don't think it'd really be complete without Page, but who knows? It could work. Jones is certainly a very accomplished musician, and for all I know, a good guitarist, seeing as how he plays a shitload of other instruments.
I just don't want Page to die because of his influence on Led Zeppelin productions such as album reissues and such.

He doesn't have to play guitar. He could do synths or something.

Well, he has to die some time. Let's just hope his estate isn't pissy about reissues.

True. That'd be pretty cool, now that I think of it.
I don't want... anyone to die.
Plant's the awesome frontman, and Page is the beastly guitarist. But JPJ is a major part of Led Zeppelin, yet he gets the least recognition of all of them. Plant sang, Page played guitar, Bonzo drummed, and JPJ... he did everything else. He's like the Brian Jones of Led Zeppelin.
Sure, they'd be better off without JPJ than without Page or Plant. But what Led Zeppelin if JPJ dies?
This. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Page_and_Plant)
I guess I don't blame them to a degree.
I mean, why shoot to hell a perfectly effective and memorable band conclusion by doing some random tour as a bunch of old hags with no energy left? people want to be remembered for what they were at their height, they don't want to be remembered by that last concert as, well, as said earlier, old hags.
But still, as a band with so many young fans and people who adore them but never actually got to see them...they should just do the damn concert.
Well, they're not even really Led Zeppelin without Bonham.

At least we have his son.

Not the same.
Not the same... but better than nothing.
I saw Van Halen without Michael Anthony, but I mean, it was still really great. If Led Zeppelin was coming to my town, I'd rush to get my tickets. There may be no Bonzo, but it's the closest you can get to the entire band on one stage.

Michael Anthony wasn't as important to Van Halen. Zep without Bonham is Like Van Halen without Eddy Van Halen. And when I go to concerts, I go to here some good music. I don't care who's on stage. If the music's not up to snuff, then the concert is pointless.

Jason's still a good drummer. He's great at playing like his father. Maybe a little bit off, but really a good replacement.
And even though in VH Wolfgang replaced Mike musically, Mike was missed more as a performer. Ever seen him get drunk on stage and play a weird-ass solo on a Jack Daniel bottle-shaped bass?
