Title: Would you be in favour of a later start time for school?
Post by: ME## on March 03, 2008, 04:09:29 PM
Like before this school year started they were talking about pushing the high school start time to 09:00 or somewhere around there, and I must say I was rather fond if the idea. For one, it would allow for more sleep, yay, two, I wouldn't have to worry about being late to my first class because the ploughs hadn't come through my street yet, three, more time to get ready, and I could do homework in the morning.

Of course it would mean that I would have to go to school until 15:55, but I wouldn't mind too much.

Naw, I don't mind waking up early (too much). Plus, I may as well get used to it, I'll be waking up early for the rest of my life. doodella;

No, I want as much awake home time as possible.

Heck no, I want to get home as early as possible. I'd support moving classes back to 6 AM.

Maybe, but I don't think so. I wouldn't really get more sleep; I'd just go to bed later to adjust to getting up later, and in the mean time I'd have less afternoon free.

I would definitely be supportive of longer school days and 3-day weekends every week, though.

Hm, that would be nice.

I've also thought that the way most French people have school is nice too, plus two hour lunch period. AWESOME

Yeah, the half days on Wednesday thing and going home for lunch (in a lot of places) is cool.

nonono

people always complain about my school starting at 7:00

but honestly, once you're up, you're up, and the painful getting out of bed process is over.

Then school ends earlier yey! ^____^

Yes, because then I could fly in the morning before everything got shitty and IFR.

If I where in a traditional school I'd say 8:30, school starts at 9, like you're in your class by 9 and doing work by then.

I have to wake up at 5:00 AM each morning and I like being out before everyone is up and when it's still kind of dark. Plus I like going home everyday by 11:00 AM, so no.
