It has been around 20 minutes and my battery has went from 99% to 88%.
Turn down your screen brightness. doodthing;
That shouldn't be happening; I get ~4 hours on a single charge.

I am going to have to calibrate it.
Don't constantly charge it if you have like 50% charge.
If you charge it too much the battery eventually depletes.

About 500 charges depletes it to about 70% or less of its original life.
Also, don't leave it plugged in all the time.
Also also, that seems about right. That'll give you three hours of power, and if you turn down the brightness and don't do stuff like leave a disc spinning it should go longer.
Turn down your brightness, and turn off bluetooth if you don't need it.
Also, it's kind of late to get the full affect of calibration. You should've done it out of the box.
I get a good 3-4 hours out of my MacBook Pro's battery, provided my screen brightness is nearly all the way down, Bluetooth is off, and I'm not watching a movie or something.

Don't you mean "charge cycles"? Which is when the battery completely depletes and you charge it.

letting something just charge and charge after little draining kills it pretty fast
