Stop Swimming by Porcupine Tree. If you don't believe me, listen to it, the lyrics.
"I'll leave now this can't continue
But I forget which door I came through"
The 2nd line, is how the writer had no idea how his life had begun, thats what is stopping him from committing suicide I suppose.

Trains is also fucking depressing, the lyrics aren't as depressing but his voice and emotions are.
The whole album is beautiful.
Also,my favorite Porcupine Tree album. baddood;
My brother likes Insignificance the most so I've been listening to it a lot trying to get the feel for them.
I don't really understand what the lyrics mean.
QuoteMan wakes up as a gun
Doesn't get the joke.
Porcupine Tree has awesome lyrics really, only band that I've actually looked up the lyrics and read what other people have thought they meant. They're just poetic really.
Not "depressed" but they definitely put me in a somber thoughtful moodââ,¬Â¦

That song is pretty sad, the music video of him playing it is terribly sad.
Jesus Porcupine Tree is so awesome but depressing. I love how the lyrics are really part of the music, like when they sing the below in Normal, the new EP, it's so well sang that even if you didn't hear what it says, you'd like how they sing it.
Sullen and bored the kids stay
And in this way they wish away each day
Stoned in the mall the kids play
And in this way they wish away each day
Now I'm listening to What Happens Now?, new EP of course. Jesus christ the lyrics are sad, once again. I really like it but can I have some happy songs now?
Depression is for morons.
moonlight sonata, but i love it so.

I don't find Creep that sad, I understand what the lyrics are about but it's just not sad.
