Option 2: There is no damn 3G iPhone.

i do not believe
more likely than deities
I believe in it. It's idiotic to think that Apple isn't thinking of a 3G iPhone, and why wouldn't you believe Bassir? In New York you have HSPDA service from AT&T. :| Also, if it is true that Apple is in talks with NTT DoCoMo there would have to be a 3G version of the iPhone.

Get out.
If there was going to be a 3g iPhone, they would have released it the first time.
All they'd do now is piss off everyone that bought it early. Which they already did with a price drop after only a month.

And you put this past Apple? You know as well as I do that Mac Fags, like Huelen, will delude them selves into to retarded reasoning why Apple back stabbed them.

So why didn't the first gen iPods have video, 160GB, Windows compatibility ect
Every 4 months Apple makes something new. Yes.

Not a whole new product like this. When asked why there's no 3G iPhone, Steven answered by saying that 3G depletes too much batter--and the iPhone battery already sucks when using even over EDGE. We can't expect Apple to release a 3G iPhone until 3G chips become battery-friendly. Or until Apple makes a much better battery--which means the iPhone's going to get fat.
EDGE really isn't that bad. And now the SDK's release is imminent, people won't have to use Safari as much.
yep
I WANT TO BELIEVE.
I'm just waiting for an iPhone with a shitton of space (at least 80+GBs), so I'm holding off for a long while.

I wouldn't be surprised. If they are not releasing it soon then they are definitely in the planning stages.

I think it would piss off lots of early adopters.
Apple would probably have something like "Trade in your 2.5 iPhone and get a 3G one half off!" offer or something.
What does 3G mean?
I knew it was going to happen, but I just didn't want it to happen. 3G is a real battery-killer, and EDGE already drains battery like crazy.
