Title: Scientology protest - aka Project Chanology
Post by: The artist formally known on February 11, 2008, 02:15:24 AM
Did anyone go to one near them?

This protest isn't just 4chan, it's Fark, Something Awful, 4chan (and all the other chans), and some of the smaller websites. It's quite meaningful, check out Xenu.net

I did, but I knew it was going to fail but I had to check it out after the pictures I saw online. I saw a few people there I knew pretty well. We first went up to a few of them, my and my friend, and asked what there names were. We both replied that our names were David. I don't think they got it.

Followed by driving around the parking lot in circles yelling crap out the window.

WARNING HUGE PAGE WITH LOTS OF PICTURES IN LINK. DO NOT CLICK STEAL.
http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/PROJECT_CHANOLOGY/IRL_PROTEST_PAGE
I hate ED as much as you do and I think they fail so badly but this page is actually pretty awesome. 4chan seems to actually be smart because the raid isn't exactly all about the "lol"

If you need the Guy Fawkes mask, AKA Epic Fail Guy mask, check this out:

"The actions of Anonymous will not interrupt the church's normal activities serving its parishioners and the community, and the church is working in co-ordination with local authorities to minimize the negative impact of this mask-wearing, cyber-terrorist group."

They hit where my brother lives, Clearwater.

Closest place to me was Pittsburgh which is still a good ride away.

Anon didn't surface up here. Possibly because it's too cold, and possibly because the amount of 4channers up here in northern Minnesota is pretty minuscule.

What really annoys me is all the faggots on /b/ acting as if this whole ordeal is being done completely wrong just because it's not completely for the lulz.

QuoteAnon in Cincy see a full house of scidongs. They were having a big class, or session... or something. We saw them stand up in unison, rub their belly and pat their head at the same time. May have barked too, but couldn't hear. Later, they were clapping in unison. It may be possible that they were singing 'If you love Hubbard and you know it, clap your hands!' or just getting rid of hand thetans.

I lol'd

I wish I went

Quote/B/oston showed 257 of it's finest at it's peak, best raid ever, everything went smooth. Also the CO$ was video taping up almost the entire time along with a person doing it himself with a smaller one from a window. They also tried to hide it in between the curtains like it couldn't be seen

I COULD HAVE BEEN 258

There was one in Montreal. I'm glad I didn't go, judging by the videos it seems a lot of obnoxious people went there. They were chanting "We are legion"...

What kind of boring chant is that? baddood;

Also, Scientology is insignificant here, so I don't see any other reasons to go there than "oh hey the other cities are doing it so we should too". The CoS itself is pretty tiny.

Christians were also once a small cult but they led up to the destruction of Europe.

Well I was tempted to but I really am not a big poster in the legion. I only every once and awhile browse 4chan and anonib boards just to see whats going on in the Anon world.

christians were pansies and the fact they didn't embrace knowledge so much like the greeks or romans didn't help

And early on they were just viewed as a cult that posed a threat to the general populace.

But on the otherhand, members of the cleregy, particularly monks, preserved texts for future generations. Theologians also started to debate religion more than in previous generations... Not saying everything they did was for the betterment of mankind at all, but they weren't the bane of civilzation either

I know the cult thing is right, I'm just saying they didn't ruin Europe

I'm completely aware of this. I've been looking at stuff at xeno and the official website of scientology for the past few days and I think a protest is well needed. I made a myspace bulliton to see if anyone at my school knew what was going on and a few kids are going to the next protest, so we're going to carpool. I need to find out where to get my EFG mask, though.

Guy Fawkes, eBay it. They're quite expensive because of this event believe it or not.

I'll be buying some mask, not that Guy Fawkes one probably though. They sell the cheap versions for $15 on eBay but the really nice one is like $100 now.

Good quality $20

Everyone else is using the cheap versions, which is better if you think about it. The whole thing is to remain anon, not to show off how much of a VfV fan you are.
