My friends are pretty dimwitted when it comes to deep stuff, anyway, the idea arises....
In order for us to travel through time, we would have to enter the 4th dimension. I say that's true, my other friend (the semi-smart one of the bunch) says that no because things in the 4th dimension see a timeline all at once, and can't actually go back and forth in it.
What's your take, Boyah?
The 4th dimension is not time
I believe that we'd have to enter the forth detention, but that won't happen.
Time Travel would be way to dangerous
And, quite frankly, other-worldy things scare the shit outta me >.<

No, time is a piece of the 4th dimension though.
Depends what bit of quantum theory you're looking at. I happen to agree with the bit that describes time as nothing more than a concept, i.e. every moment is a reinvention of the last; there is no linear progression or opportunity to "go back in time" (or forward, for that matter). Things like memories and other things that seem to give evidence to linear time subsist in various nets of paraphysical reality.

I was right? sweet. doodella;
I agree with Snorkel. I think there is no such thing as time.
It would be so cool if time and time travel do exist, though.

On the other hand, there's no reason that it doesn't exist if you think it does. baddood;
It's cyclical. omg
Wouldn't we just have to leave earth and travel at a extremely fast rate. Then when we get back to Earth everyone will have aged more than us.
I've been told that we can go to the future, we just can't go back in time.
I'd recommend keeping your half-baked pseudo-philosophy to yourself at least until you're out of high school.
Fly through space at the speed of light and you'll go years into the future in a few weeks. Not necessarily time travel, but more like slowing down time within your ship.
Also, time travel to the past wouldn't be possible unless you create another timeline (or possibly some complex timeweave thing) and that's in another dimension.

lol freshman
the 4th dimension is where the cake is. it is not a lie.
I've heard bad things about the physics teacher at my school. He discusses the fourth dimension. ;_;
