Title: Were Powerbooks really worth that much?
Post by: bluaki on February 02, 2008, 08:51:58 PM
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PowerBook_1400

I own this, the Powerbook 1400c, though:
1. No battery, only way to get power is through direct AC, though I'm sure it's possible to buy somewhere
2. I have the AC adapter somewhere in my house (it is lost)
3. The cover for CD tray is broken (the CD and Floppy drive are detachable and swappable in the same slot)
4. No network card

anyways, the $2k-$4k price tag is a Wiki vandal... right? Also, is the codename being "Epic" also a vandal?

LAWLZ IS BUGGING ME THAT HE WANTS ME TO SEND IT TO HIM >.<

I doubt the prices were fake considering computers weren't anywhere near as widley used in homes as they are today then. Plus, the Macbook Pro is $2000.
