If you go into the settings blade on the main menu screen, you can turn on sleep mode downloading. When you turn off the xbox, it will check if you have active downloads. If you do, it will stay on and download them. Only the HDD and the ethernet will stay on. The fans and processors will turn off and not use as much power.
