With the absence of their writers, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert appear to be less like their on-screen counterparts than before the writer's strike. Stewart seems less intelligent, and because of his rambling on, the show is much more edited. While Colbert, on the other hand, can't seem to stay in character and is much more intelligent than his on-screen persona. It's pretty sad that they had to come back under such circumstances, especially when they are so reliant on their writers.
How have your favorite shows been affected?
I thought some of the stuff was pretty funny.
I liked the Colbert show better. The skit on the National Treasures was awesome.
