I've used PNY drives in Fedora, so I don't see why they wouldn't work with Ubuntu.

I got my 2 gig PNY drive for $15. I use it all the time for swapping files form one OS to the other.

And, what OSs do you use?
I don't want to spend 15 dollars, if it won't work on Ubuntu :P

OS X and Windows.

One definite Linux-compatible flash drive is SanDisk Cruzer. They're pretty good. They cost quite a bit though.

i'm quite sure a simple flash drive will be compatible with most any os

it works for hiei in the slightly less popular fedora, so i'm sure ubuntu will be fine

How much space is taken up by the installation and how much is left free on your device?
