A laptop....
A 360. psyduck;

A laptop is a much better choice.
You can take it around with you. Plus it's a computer.

Why would I want a laptop when I already have a desktop? psyduck;

Laptop. It would be more useful.

Portability maybe?
I don't need a laptop though, I don't go anywhere where I need a computer, but it'd be nice for college or something.
Get an Eee PC Laptop.

Maybe because laptops are more worth it? Honestly, I don't even see the point in desktops these days unless you're huge on PC gaming.

Even then, an 80 dollar PC can play any good game that's not on a console.
Unless your desktop sucks 360, but I'd upgrade my computer before buying a 360 if I could go back in time. Make sure you get a new 360, old ones will break

Laptops are more expensive than desktops and generally far less powerful. psyduck;
Also, I hate using laptops. I prefer having a mouse on the side and nice keyboard in front of me with a monitor to look up at all while being comfortable and not shelling out money for those extra parts when they'd normally come packed in for free and can be placed wherever I please.

Lawlz explained it perfectly.
Oh shit my hard drive just broke, oh well, 1 trip to newegg.com and it's fixed for under $50

Mouse by my side? Check. Did I buy it? Nooope. spam;
Also, I like using my computer wherever I want in whatever position I want, so there's the big reason I use a laptop.
And the power difference is pretty much not an issue unless, like I said, you're big into gaming or have some other reason (which nobody here does) to absolutely need a desktop.

Who the fuck needs the Adobe Creative Suite? psyduck;
Also, I've never needed to upgrade, because I don't do anything that would require that.

adobe flash adobe photoshop etc
Quite a few people use it, and to get a laptop with comparable specs to a desktop, you're dealing out about an extra 66%.

oh so you mean professionals who wouldn't have less than 1GB of memory anyways?
besides, 1GB of memory isn't that much anyways

so you're saying every every thirteen year old kid on the internet is a professional because they use photoshop and whatnot that's pretty cook
it's about average today but you could get a powerful desktop for a fair price and a laptop with equal power would be almost twice the price
i don't know because the only thing i remember on my g5 is that it said "YOU NEED ONE GIGABYTE OF RAM TO USE THE ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE 3" and killed itself caterpie;

Creative Suite isn't necessary for that. Hell, not even a modern version of Photoshop is necessary for anything a "thirteen year old kid on the internet" would do.
Christ, even Photoshop 5 does what I need.

Oh, those.
Yeah, an old version of Photoshop could still do that, actually. Believe it or not, signatures like that existed before CS3.

The difference is hardly noticeable. In fact, if you know what you're doing, there is no difference.

no, i'm saying cs3 is meant for professionals; not just anyone who's able to pirate it needs it or would even be able to make decent use of what it offers (which isn't really that much special in the case of photoshop; however, the good cmyk support and 16-bit etc. color depths are essential for said professionals) psyduck;
maybe depends
maybe you should have gotten a pc gimp;
