Is there a series you love, but just couldn't get into the first game of the series?
Like for example I love the Jak series, but I hated Jak & Daxter with a passion.
Metroid and Megaman. myface;
Metroid but never played the first one first anyways
and thats probably it. caterpie;
I just don't like it because you can't shoot at an angle.

I think the bigger problem is that you're always lost but okay.
Metroid, I HATE the original Metroid. The end is more fustrating rather than challenging.

Thats because you suck psyduck;
AND YOU ARE ALWAYS LOST FAGGOT
The original Jak and Daxter was 10x better then Jak 2 or 3, it didn't try to be cool and overly dramatic, it was just good clean fun, the sequels were ok though.
Anyways, I suppose Zelda, and Final fantasy, I love both...but thought the original games were not so great.

I felt the same way about Castlevania
Silent Hill
I have a good one caterpie;
Donkey Kong, the first game (arcade game, and NES games) was horrible
Kirby, the first game is only decent.

Lol I loved Donkey Kong.
You guize could never beat my score when we had the arcade spam;
Legend of Zelda. D:
Kirby. The original Kirby's Dream Land is one of the worst games in the series. It's at least better than Block Ball, though.
I love almost every other game in the series, though.
Metroid
I mean, wtf.
Metroid, for sure. Super Metroid tops it mostly due to the shooting angles as someone noted. Without the angles and having to rely on sheer luck and jumping is total fail.
Sly Cooper
I like the first one but I loved the second and third waaaay more.
