Yeah...but it always seems as though you'll never experience something like that until it actually happens...
I never met one of my grandpas. edumacate;
Sorry to say it but get over it. My Great-Grandma died this year.

He will get over it eventually, but it's not your place to tell him to do that. He needs to do it his own way, not by you being a prick.
Anyway...I had a similar incident when I was about 14. My grandfather that I hardly knew passed away...I got a little teary-eyed too, and I felt guilty that I had never gotten to know him better. But it didn't take too long for me to move on past that little stage of grief.
Sorry about your loss.

You can't just get over it. psyduck;
All four of my grandparents are still alive. My Pa is the smartest person I know.

also, you try too hard to be "badass" lawlz. just thought i'd point that out.
I can somewhat relate through the fact that my grandmother on my father's side died almost a year ago, but that doesn't mean I have to care. pseudo;
But cheer up! We'll buy you a new grandma tomorrow!! antiflower;
All of my grandparents are still alive, and I know all of them really well. Which means I have to experience the death of all four of them.
Fuck.
I'm glad I got to know them, though. They're great people.

I've had 3 grandparents, a great aunt, and an uncle die on me in my life time and I didn't even get close to crying over any of them. I didn't really know or give a damn about any of them. It was just like some random person died who just so happened to be related to me.
Yeah, well, while I may not have ever seen my grandmother in person, we still interacted with eachother. She would call pretty often to talk, send cards, mail us gifts for our birthdays...
She was more than just a random grandparent I never knew, that's why it hurts.
I'm really sorry to hear that man. I haven't really had someone pass away that is really close to me. I know that when it does happen it will be very hard. I wish you good luck getting through this time.
