I want to play Xbox Live, but I don't have an Ethernet cable long enough. I was going to get the official Xbox 360 wireless adapter but it costs $100. Is there a cheaper alternative?
The official one looks like this:

I know its such a freaking rip off ps3 and wii have them built in!
Ethernet cables are so much cheaper. psyduck;

I don't think there is a wire that can reach from my basement to a whole floor up. psyduck;

Yeah they are. I know we have cables going through the walls, but going through the floor/ceiling is a whole 'nother deal.
They probably do make them long enough, look around, you can always tape it against the floor/wall so it's out of the way.

A little google got me this:

Try looking around there for starters. :3
I have the wireless adaptor.
Sometimes, it doesn't feel like working, but when it is working, I always get 4 bars.
Any USB wireless adapter will work.
