Anyone listen to them? I've been fucking obsessed lately...My fave songs are Every Time I Die, Taste of My Scythe, and Needled 24/7. :3
Discuss this awsum Finnish death metal band lol.
Whose that
Well... they're okay. Some of their songs have a nice groove, although they're more often standard, paint-by-the-numbers modern death metal. I will admit, Alex's screaming is surprisingly listen-able and he busts out a few sweet lead lines, but he also busts out a few not-so-sweet leads - and the dead-serious mood doesn't exactly help. All in all, though, they're sually good enough to satisfy a 90's death metal weenie like me.
I lost respect for them when they seemed to take their music not so seriously. Covering Britney Spears would have been fine if they didn't get popular from that CD. I don't know why but I hated them extra because they got popular from that CD.
I like Hatebreeder and Something Wild the most but haven't listened to those in ages. I found Opeth about three months after I listened to Children of Bodom for the first time, which they were my first metal band, besides Iced Earth. I've heard may people seeing them live and they were too drunk to play. I don't think that makes a good band, getting drunk after a show is totally fine but during a show? Many people paid to see them and they play like shit?
Loved them, they're okay now, don't like their new stuff so much, not because they're popular, but because I know of better bands now. I had no idea there was other stuff out there before when I listened to Childen of Bodom
Shit sucks.
Shitty noise is shitty.
I prefer the sound of a person taking a crap over the sound of someone throwing up into the mic.
