Title: I can't get Ubuntu 7.04 to work gonk;

K, so I downloaded Ubuntu 7.04 and am trying to instal it. When I start up it gives me the Ubuntu 7.04 screen, and then go to instal

Then this comes up

Then after a while I get this

WHY DOSE IT DO THAT!!!!!!!!!!

It's pretty much impossible to get any Linux distro to work on a PPC Mac. psyduck;

Its emulating on a 86x with 512 Ram
at least I can get Windows 98 to work:

Burn the alternative install CD and use that to install it. I really don't recommend the Live CD.

also uh yeah emulation/virtualization/etc. often presents problems, and isn't really indicative of anything

Fedora Core is the only one that worked for me on my G5, and it still had that fan problem.

If software doesn't work with hardware it was made for, it's the software developer's fault.
