K, so I downloaded Ubuntu 7.04 and am trying to instal it. When I start up it gives me the Ubuntu 7.04 screen, and then go to instal

Burn the alternative install CD and use that to install it. I really don't recommend the Live CD.

I tried it four months ago, and even if you can get Yellow Dog to work, it has serious graphical flaws and the fans run at max speed nonstop. psyduck;
Fedora Core is the only one that worked for me on my G5, and it still had that fan problem.
