11:17 PM PST, August 14 2007 -- Accosted By Elves
I'm sitting in a station wagon on Bird Rock Blvd in La Jolla, California -- the elves are coming from all directions, and one is even attempting to break through the rear window with its mind. I am, in futility, attempting to ward them off with the remains of a squirrel I've found beneath the passenger seat. My hope is that the elves will believe that I have killed the squirrel, and that I will kill them and put their remains beneath the passenger seat if they continue to accost me.
In reality neither the squirrel remains nor the station wagon are mine. They belong to a man named Bassir, who lives north of here in Soledad. He is Moroccan, and for this reason I do not trust him. I once befriended a Moroccan, only to have him later attempt to murder my parrot for its red feathers, which he claims were needed for an "artistic adventure". Needless to say I did not take kindly to his parrot murdering philosophy, and so I commandeered his station wagon as a way of saying, "I do not like you".
That was three weeks ago. I have not heard from Bassir since, but I am beginning to believe that the elves are in fact commanded by him.
