No, I'd actually rather everyone forget that it ever happened rather than give me attention. Everyone who asked me over any IM client just got denied the information they wanted, and left me alone, which is what I wanted.

You really assume too much. Not everyone works with the pre-programmed behavorisms that you seem to be so sure about.
I announced it so that the members of Boyah that I actually care about wouldn't think I just up and vanished or something. Notice how that thread said that I was likely to come back very soon. Doesn't make my "condition" sound very serious. If I wanted attention, I'd say that I was dying or something.
And of course anything can be said on the internet. That doesn't disprove anything I've said. It just makes it clear that I don't have a good reason to listen to you, and you might as well ignore me as well, because for all we know, we could both be flat-out lying about everything we've ever said.
