i mean, green grapes can definitely be really firm. depends on the time of year, the brand, and thus the farm they came from. i try to only buy them if they're on sale and they're nice and firm and adequately tart (definitely not into green grapes for sweetness)
btw, i've found that for sweet grapes, black ones are actually better than red

idk how i forgot bananas lmao
grapefruit and pomelos are pretty darn good too but i'm not a big enough fan for em to be on my list
i only like some apples, namely tart ones like granny smith and pink lady
my store once got two jackfruit in. they were fucking massive and were $10 a piece. one was like the size of a typical watermelon and the other was the size of a giant watermelon.
i dont like mango much by itself but it goes wonderfully mixed with other things
i dont think i've ever had papaya by itself
Raspberries
Blackberries
Strawberries from local places not the giant bland ones in grocery stores
BANANAS
Grapefruit
Nectarines
Watermelon (which is weird because I used to hate it; hate is now only reserved for all other melons)
Clementines
Mandarins
Limes (as flavor)
Grapes (every color)
Pineapple
LYCHEE
peaches
plums
SOME pears
clementines
bananas
mango

Cantaloupe and Honeydew are the true garbage fruits. They are the packing peanuts of a fruit salad

they're always too sweet and too limp >.<
same with black ones tbh
i find that the red ones are the only ones that have a healthy mix of firmness/sweetness/tartness

the red ones are just sweet to me almost no tartness
Tbh growing up I had the opposite problem where the red grapes were always flaccid and squishy while the green were firm. Idk how that divide happened between PA and NY
it probably doesn't help that we're using extremely vague color descriptors like "red" and "green" when each color is probably represented by dozens of different cultivars, each with their own unique properties lol
as for the cultivars commonly available in my area, whichever one it is that happens to be reddish tends to be the best
grapes can Fuck Off too
