Ecco wasn't that great, I've only played the Dreamcast game not the Genesis though.
I wish Ecco was awesome though because no one does underwater games like that.

I haven't played the DC one, but the first two on the Genesis are great, though hard as hell.
Also, Stafi is a prime example of a great underwater series. Aside from the first one.

I do hate underwater levels on most all games if they have them though. Mario underwater levels suck so much.

Dotstream is pretty good, but I prefer Orbital. Think of it as a 2D Katamari, except more reliant on magnetism and physics and all that shit.

the first ryu ga gotoku game was a neat concept but it's unfortunate that it it was basically shenmue part deux with more robotic punching and for some god awful reason sega decided that instead of cheaply translating and subtitling the game, when the ps2 was officially being phased out by sony, it decided to blow the bank on dumb 'big name' actors to do the dubbing
