sorry mib and nyerp, i was actually wrong lmao, i CAN use passthrough on hdmi. it just wasn't working at the time for some reason - the elgato can be really finicky.

it's actually av to hdmi passthrough that doesn't work - that's why i had to buy an av splitter a while back lmao, totally forgot about that. so yeah i could've used obs for dbfz and i will in the future for a much better stream lol

hey so, in addition to things i would normally stream (oot rando, alttp rando, sm64 rando/speedruns/romhacks, dbfz), i thought it would be nice to also just casually stream things again like i used to. it would help me actually finish some goddamn games, for one thing, and it would just be fun imo.

also here's another thing: mario maker 2 and smash ultimate streams. playing random levels or levels people want me to play, and playing smash with you guys or whoever else wants in. ofc, streaming smash kinda depends on whether my internet can handle streaming and smash together - with smash's netcode i am actually not sure yet if it would work lol. it would probably be ok though
