Fusion Media Group, a division of Univison. The Onion (et al; AV Club, Clickhole) were purchased by them in Jan 2016. In August 2016, Gawker obviously shit itself after they got Hogan'd and FMG swooped in and bought them up too, changing their head branding group to Gizmodo and dropping Gawker entirely.

They are owned, managed, and directed by an entirely different company now. All of them lol. They're associated in the same sense that the 2001 film A.I. Artificial Intelligence is associated with Stanley Kubrick.
