india (by which i mean the geographic region, not the country) has its own discrete tectonic plate

its boundary with the rest of eurasia is the himalayas, a tremendously more impressive and renowned mountain range than the pitiful ural molehills

and india's (by which i mean the geographic region, not the country) population is also over TWO TIMES the size of europe's

So explain to me why Europe, with its pitiful molehill boundaries, half the population, and no separate tectonic plate, gets to be its own continent while India (by which I mean the geographic region, not the country) doesn't. Go on.
