yeah it's pretty cool the weather was great, the scenery is amazing, and the people are very friendly surprisingly. Kinda reminded me of the Midwest with more interesting geography. I've been told it can be kinda racist bleh. My friend who I was visiting seems to love it tho

I will assume that is somehow a good deal despite being used

it's pretty good. the bike seems to be in good condition and even though it is like ~10 years old steel frames hold up really well. a brand new surly would be at least like $800 so i figure this is a pretty good entry level bike into fixed gear riding
this doesn't sound like that good a deal lol

YPrrrr

Just googling fixed gear bikes you can get a brand new one for 100-200 bucks but I'm guessing this one has other qualities that those wouldnt?

yeah those have super cheap components and are all mass produced overseas. worth investing in quality parts (esp frame) that wont crap out on you. surlys are more expensive but they last freaking forever and are insanely durable.

if i was to buy a new fixed gear i would probably buy this:
http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/mercier/kilott-pro-fixie-track.htm

which is more expensive and less pretty imo

you can see how into these bikes ppl get here:

i bought the bike and now i have buyer's remorse i have too many bikes

Kalahari Inkantation

once i start riding the thing ill be super stoked about it

i tried to take my pedals off one bike and put them on this one (the pedals on this one use different clips than my shoes do) and i think i stripped the screw part a little bit from my wrench slipping and now idk how to take it off so i am mostly just raging about that

i think i should just buy new pedals lol
