FUN FACT:

i met two missionary mormons on the corner of the main thoroughfare in fier, albania, circa summer of 2014.
they were dressed in shirts and tie and dress pants/shoes and could not speak a lick of albanian, but where handing out translated mormon pamphlets to passerbys.  one was a ginger, a clear red flag.

they stood out like a sore thumb and most people just ignored them. i guess they had gotten used to it but it surprised the fuck out of me.

the last thing i expected to see were american mormons in albania trying to spread their faith. i wanted to politely tell them it was a gigantic waste of time because my people are cynical faithless bastards and would never take seriously the message/attempt of s foreigner to teach them about religion. they were just being kind by taking their material.

i couldn't do it though and we just chatted about basic stuff back in the US. it was nice to speak english with them. they would not tell me their real names, just their title like 'brother john' or some shit like that. very weird, they seemed like nice people but obviously they have a defect and it was all very peculiar.

If you told them Albanians weren't people of faith, it probably would've motivated them further, honestly. They would've considered it more important to spread the word of Christ.

I've only known a few Mormons, but they've always been nice.
