Why does this soviet satellite, former poland clay, and nation with its own language use an Anglo American sign written in English??
Is it a subtle form of cultural imperialism?
OR

Does entering the gate, and into the zone, teleports the traveler to Trinity, new Mexico circa July 17 1945 where an active radioactive miasma was happily flourishing causing cancer on unsuspected soldiers [time travelers??] ?? why is it this way

It's because they adopted the UN standard for road signs... which is basically the U.S. standard so basically
