I once drove a car that was totally operated by your hands.

There was this metal bar that you pushed to brake the car.  It was behind the steering wheel to the right a little.

There was another lever, joysticky-thing,  for the gas but you didn't need to use it... so i didn't.  You needed to use the brake bar though.

I felt a little out of control with the breaks, but I only had to drive a few blocks.
