I really liked a recent steam purchase called "papers Please".
You play as a border patrol inspector in a faux-soviet climate. You accept or decline passports based on discrepancies found in the documents provided by the people trying to pass through.

Sounds kind of iffy on paper, but it rules. Wait for it to become part of a daily deal or flash sale on steam and buy it.

yo real talk, I played the beta of that and it was great. I got the steam version and heard they added a lot. I highly suggest getting Papers, Please.
