ouendan 1 & 2.  i don't even know how i got interested into them at first.  i started with #2.  i also never really liked adventure games, but twilight peincess and ocarina were good.  (never liked adventure games other than link to the past when i was a kid)  i also liked metroid prime 2, but never finished it because hollywood and i was stuck in one place until i had to return it.  i didn't even get past that huge alien thing in the capsule in the beginning of the 1st one b/c bored.

i think of old point-and-click games as "adventure games", I think of zelda as "action/adventure" and how can you not like those games it's like the most generally appealing genre imo

yeah i'm pretty sure almost everyone thinks of zelda as "action/adventure"

and i think it's referred to as such by basically any publication or website

My friends and mom are so adamant about Zelda being an RPG. "But you're playing as another character, you're role playing as them!"

That would make just about any video game an RPG.
