Which is worse: people posting their sympathies on a networking site, or no one caring because it didn't affect them personally?
You can care without asking everyone to acknowledge what a kind and caring person you are
So you'd rather people cared, but didn't show their emotions publicly?
I'd rather it seem more like sincere emotion than as a method to garner attention. It's good to care. It's also good to donate to the poor. But if somebody has to make an announcement about how much they're donating and how much they care it loses some sincerity in my mind
