Like a snake on a silk embankment.
Vertebrate weave in and out with fluid motion, defying solid stature as they sprig like the tentacles of a deep sea jellyfish

Can you see the jellyfish?
You're under water and there is one jellyfish, flowing under solid streaks of ocean sunshine.

Look behind the jellyfish.

Do you see those eyes behind the jellyfish?

Those eyes belong to a bottom dweller, a fish that was born and bred in sandy, muddy, murky ocean darkness, miles below the surface. Look at the jellyfish. See it well. See how it glows?

You can barely make it out.
Why?

You're on the ocean floor, miles below and your breathing apparatus is creaking, the pressure is overwhelming.

The jelly fish crumples and deflates under the teeth of the fish, the owner of the eye.

It sees you.

It can make out the red dials on your depth gauge.

You run along the silty floor, trying to gain enough traction to push off, to swim, but the ocean floor is sludgy.

In your panic you kick up sand, sand that blinds you, disorients you. You don't know where you are. Which direction is up?

Your foot becomes tangled and you fall headfirst. You try to push yourself up, but your hands sink into the murky sand. You're completely caught, trapped in a storm of sand and silt.

You wait for the teeth behind you, but they don't come.

The air in your tank is low.
