did you meet your closest friends

my best friends would probably be shane and emma
i met emma in kindergarten and we've been friends ever since. i'm probably the most comfortable around her. we tell eachother our problems (dear diary)
her parents are from chicago, they've done every drug i could ever think to ask, and they still smoke weed daily and i love them.

shane, i met him in third grade. his parents had just gotten a divorce, and my sister was babysitting shane and his siblings, and i came along and became great friends and we still are.
and my gf, i count her as a really close friend. i met her online, which surprisingly worked out
i won't bore you all with details of other friends, just the big three

my very close friend of mines i've met on 4chan (lol)
we are raw reflections of one another
i've met him too and it was WUNDERFUL

i don't really have very close friends that i consider very close friends but they probably are but i just don't recognize it because no one knows how i really think/feel besides jayden

it is nice to fill in one another's phrases, find the same things funny and be as cruel and vile or be as lovely and innocent as possible and still be loved and not have a fringe of suspicion lurk around

I'd consider that I met at least one via boyah but I consider my friends I met online just as good as ones irl.

As for the main group of friends that I hang out with, I met two via a japanese class I took my first year of community college. I met this girl and became friends with her while the person I sat next to each class and had become fairly good friends was also becoming her friend. They ended up dating but we all ended up being a group of friends. Through the guy I met his brothers who became my other closest friends.

Marching Band and other classes I've seen them in. Then they introduced me to their friends.

But I consider most of my online friends from here.

I met my friend Victoria through a mutual group of friends. I met her at the beginning of 2010 but didn't become close with her until October of 2010. she's cool

I met my friend Sophie when I was a junior and she was a freshman. we have been pretty cool since then... that was in like 2008/9 I think but we became a lot closert his 2011/12...

I met my friend Alexis when I was in 8th grade. She's crazy I love her and she's been my friend for a while

I guess for me, I just never had close friends until I met my current group like three years ago. I have maintained their friendship for that long though and we don't go to the same schools any more but we talk almost every day and have since 2009 so I think that's getting there.

when i have this discussion with other people, mostly irl, their answer usually ends up being something like
"well i had this best friend in second grade but then they were a bitch and we never talked again then i had my best beeeeessst friend in sixth grade but that bitch is a cunt now and then my absolute best friend through part of high school but we grew apart becasue they did something small and stupid but i'm too much of a dumbass to reconcile, etc etc"
the reason i find that so absurd is that i take the "best friend" term pretty sternly. i've had plenty of friends come and go, but thse people i've listed are my best friends who have been by my side for up to like 15 years so far

I'm still friends with people who I was friends with in elementary and middle school but I just picked three people who I am pretty close with at this point in my life. I have a good amount of friends though that I'm close with and who I've known for a while (since before kindergarden & through middle school)
