the latter is C mainly because I had segments from another project to copy+paste and make up most of it

I'm sure my random number generation of just using C's stdlib's rand() for each character, seeded with time, isn't too great, but it seems good enough
and because I wanted to only look at the http data to determine if the image is imgur's "invalid image" filler, I chose to only look at the "Content-Length" part, though I'm sure there's a small chance it'll come across a valid image of the same length.
