having my own smoking-allowed apartment was horrible for me. I successfully killed my tolerance though, and am back to just enjoying a cig now and then

I don't think I could ever smoke enough cigarettes to dull out my reaction to nicotine/tobacco, which is an intense and short but almost incapacitating buzz/weird/unpleasant sensation.

I never actually started smoking enough I would need a quit. A cigarette like every few months so they were at least enjoyable without any of the negative side effects such as the smell or being out of breath.
