I have seen the mouse, and I have heard it squeak.

Hensa

You know, to send that to you I had to jaywalk across my neighborhood to another post office because the one I went to first was only a distribution center and therefore it was so horribly inefficient that it only did one kind of thing.

Hensa

you actually did that?

Yes and if you remember it was a brown box terribly wrapped up with tape and I had to carry that all along the way and I felt I was on a mission.

I'd rather look at something else. But I can't believe you still have it!

This story made me sad  :(

mice are so cute and it is pretty inhumane for it to just lay on a sticky trap till it has someone finally put it out of it's misery

You say that because you don't know all the diseases mice spread with their poop as they poop all over the house if you let 'em--including in your food pantry.  Google up "hanta virus". Their cousins, rats, were responsible for the decimation of Europe's population back in the day.

The mice around here managed to roll themselves out of even rat glue traps but come out near-bald, so it's not wise to leave them in the glue trap of any sort for any great length of time. I save pasta sauce jars which are big enough to accommodate mouse and rat glue trap, close the lid, whereupon they suffocate even if they do escape the glue trap.

Not everything that glitters is gold and not everything cute is innocent of being a threat to your health...or public health, for that matter.
Hmph.

I happen to have a strong strong interest in infectious diseases so I know all about mice as a disease vector, and hanta virus and all that stuff.

They are still cute though
