I know, I was walking from class to class and it was the picturesque kind of snow, real fluffy and everything, and all anyone said to me was how awful it was.

It was the real wet stuff too, so it was sticking to the branches.

I don't understand people.

In flagstaff I saw a icicle chandelier looking thing on a tree!!! So cool! And so fluffy! Like I want to roll around in it if it wasn't so cold

It snowed here today and it was so godamned beautiful and all anyone did was complain.
The snow here was a sleet mixture of rain and snow that soaked through your clothes and then froze your drenched skin and clothes. I would have loved some fluffy

It's great with those vintage old films and family photos that I love, little letters too andreal period accents.  Plus everything is in refined color and presented in HDTV. Of course, as is only appropriate for this day and age. I learned GIs used to throw knives at their feet as a game of nerves. And we actually thought that we could win. Whatever that meant.

The vietnam period has always resonated with me especially. It's so striking and terrifyng. Chaotic.

I hear a lot of people comparing our skirmishes over in the middle east as the modern vietnam, but I can't agree. The jungle and the tunnels of the viet cong are something else.

There was a layer of sleet that chewed at my feet, but I was willing to let it go.

I was in the beautiful snow 2 days ago but now its just mildly cold i8ts actually so nice

It snowed here a week or so ago in October and people were all up in arms and already expressing dismay and big opinions of the coming winter. When really the worst part of any snow storm is when the idiots go out and ruin it all. With those muddy footprints all over the place, and stupid tempers over a parking space. It is so beautiful and tranquil when it is falling down, and not as cold as before or after, whenever everything looks peaceful and picturesque, covered in an endless white blaket. Especially the trees, they looked almoat edible, like a popsicle tart.

I was driving home from class and there were two people who had spun out and hit a light pole/gone off the road.

Learn to adjust motherfuckers.

It was like two inches of snow.

It doesn't comapre in any category or fact, whether in body count or the perfectly managed media coverage, as well as the all volunteer aspect. That era was graphic, less sophisticated but even more sick, bizarre and dangerous. I have always dreamed of writing the perfect war story. Vietnam has all of the classic elements plus the turn of modernity on the battlefield, with the endless possibilities that entails. Tim O'Brien comes as close as one can get in capturing it all in the Things They Carried. If you haven't you have to read it--it's the ultimate book of fiction for that conflict. He reminds me a bit of your style.

I give it an 80%. The burrito was superb, particularly the carne. The salsa, likewise. The beans and rice were quite underwhelming, however.

Agreed.

I think I will return, but will just order a burrito rather than a burrito plate.
