Hiro

In elementary and middle school I was in the Advanced Learner Program where we go to leave our normal classes for an hour a day or something like that and do more interesting projects. It wasn't a class and it wasn't graded, but it was higher-level stuff for kids that tested the best and we got to do some cool special fun stuff as well.
It was in fourth or fifth grade that we had to make our own chocolate bars and come up with a brand for it and package it and whatnot. We had a couple weeks to work on it, and then a group of anonymous teachers got to test and score our chocolate bars and I think the winners of each category (something like taste, look, packaging, overall, etc, a few other things but I don't remember it exactly) won a certificate or something like that of no real consequence.
Anyways, I think I called mine the "technic bar" or something like that and gave it a futuristic high-tech sci-fi theme and everything. Worked really hard on the packaging and everything, made it look really nice.
When I got the anonymous score sheets back, one of the teachers gave me a C rating overall. They wrote a side-note at the bottom of the paper explaining their reasoning for the low score, which was almost entirely due to the style I went with. "America is looking back right now..." they wrote, quite obviously referencing 9/11.

Seriously, what the fuck? goowan

ITT: stupid shit teachers have done or said

Nyerp

everything a teacher does is stupid shit :)

silvertone

I would eat a 9/11 candy bar. Unless it was like patriotic or something.

?????

My government teacher always says "go to there" instead of just simply "go there." I alos think very lowly of my teachers when they can't do simple math in their heads.
