do you even fear that a phone call is going to be awkward so you get really nervous about making it?

Like right now I need to call I guy that I only know by an internet name and he only knows me by my internet name and we haven't really ever talked online and he is a respected member or a community in which I am trying to be accepted. I am real nervous that this is going to be really awkward, which is in turn more likely to make it awkward.

Has this ever happened to you before?

All phone calls for me are awkward.  Even with people I actually know.   confuseddood;

Any phone call which isn't to my parents, in which case it is merely a chore

I usually spend at least 4 hours a day talking to my best friend on the phone.  giggle;

anyone else though and I get nervous  :(

applesauce

wtf, you guys must be extra awkward.

anyways, I don't understand why he would ask me to call him when texting is preferable to the vast majority of people. I guess he probably wants to talk to me before meeting me for law-breaking. And he is like late 20s or early 30s so is maybe of the generation where phone-talking was more commonplace?

I think I only ever called my ex about 5-6 times, most of which were during Winter break when we were apart... I always texted 5thgrade;

I can never hear people on the phone and always have to ask them to repeat themselves... plus I think a great deal of my humor is based off of my facial expressions

This is why I hate talking on cell phones. The quality sucks.

i honestly think texting is equally as bad as (and maybe even worse than) vocal phone conversations lol
