So I got a speeding ticket today. Doing 80km in a 50km. In mitigation, there was a driver that was tailgating me and I decided to pick up the speed to get him off my ass. Of course, I see a cruiser coming up behind me up ahead.

So anyways, he only gave me a $50 speeding ticket (good thing the cop knew my dad) which means I don't get any points towards my license, which means it doesn't effect my insurance. Dropped it from 80 to 65.

Anyone else had to pay fines/tickets?

I got my first speeding ticket...last summer? I think.
I was with some friends and we were driving to Dairy Queen or some shitty location like that. I came to this very large hill and decided that I was cool and threw it into neutral to see how fast I would get going. I got up to 52MPH in a 30 zone, and there was a cop at the bottom of the hill.

Got a $120 speeding ticket.

i've never gotten a speeding ticket. just a couple of warnings.

however, i have gotten a parking ticket, simply because i forgot to go move my car out of a meter parking spot after the meter expired.

Also, when someone's tailgating you you're supposed to go really slow until they pass you, then tailgate them. Duh

I got a ticket one time. I was doing 79 in a 55. Also my truck could only go 80.
