You may have noticed that a certain couple was married today, for better or for worse. I happened to watch some of the ceremony and it stuck me rather curious how obviously absurd this really was, if one saw it with a natural perspective. The clothes, the horses, the jewelry, the carriages and the titles are inherently abstract, absolutely nothing at all. What mattered was the multitude of people, yes, these, the crowd, the cheering crowd, that bestows the royalty it commonly submits to.

Surreal, to witness such a peculiar expression of this truth, that opinion is the essence of reality. Power and prestige hang on hearts and minds, and win them over with their own pockets. Incredible actually, in the worst way possible, to see a thousand minds fantasize an imaginary spectacle into actuality and substance. Their status and influence only exists as a concept, and rides upon the popular sentiment, so flimsy, so unnecessary, so undeserving, so unbelievable. If people stopped caring, no crowds, no cheers, no funds, no purpose, no more 'royalty', only people and the world, imagine, as someone once said, living for today. Some bush native could not care less, because he's too busy with reality. In picture he wouldn't know royal from crook, but in character he'd know both at once upon encounter, for his world revolves around proper perspectives.

Everything we have touched is this way, empty without us, powerless from us. Are people’s lives lacking wonder so much that they seek to empower another just to experience some, instead of demanding, expecting and creating their own? I guess, otherwise the rightful sovereigns would not idly stand behind metal fences and merely gaze upon their dream, hearded like sheep to count for sleep. Maybe they're too busy working to pay taxes to the state and palace coffers. The prince smiled when I smiled and smirked when I smirked, he looked cautious when I felt curious and seemed stiff when I become anxious, then when I got bored, he relaxed. Despite the ridiculous hats and the tinsel foolishness, I only cared for one thing, that they were lucky enough to find someone who accepted them and loved them. That is indeed something truly special and deserving of all the festivities and joy in the cosmos. All I want out of life, a heart to call my own and hold with me, show her things and learn with her. To feel and see the world together as much as I can, partly for me, mostly for her. I have long known, that an individual can only achieve the highest and greatest degree of potential through the happiness of another.

I would never rejoice like them, at the expense of others, to promote a perverse agenda and cement the perpetual bullshit that is unequal stratification and indecency. A significant moment needs no artificial support to gain meaning. I would just as happily marry in a field of grains, and pluck a daisy to twirl into a ring. We aught to be realizing and advancing our common humanity, so we may share all the love and pleasure and happiness and glory that we can achieve. Instead, some dumbass woke up today, put on a suit and tie and went in front of the cameras to blabber incessantly about how many ribbons are on the dress and how many rugs they will walk upon, even the number of flies on the horses' ass. Really? Seriously think about this, a grown man, sternly styled, devoted his day, his life, his reputation to describe the ornaments and beards of the clergy. In order to puff and huff and feed more crap to a clown balloon, distracting the children, so that perhaps, to most he will not come across as the tool and pointless exertion of time and effort and interest that he is. It's just astounding. I find more meaning and insight from some sneakers on a phone line, and connect another piece of the puzzle like shoelaces tied between myself and everything else. How can I, in earnest, ever consider anything that man has to say, or the cohorts that prodded and applauded him and the countless others like them? I cannot.

The case here may be specific, but the condition is endemic across our social world. People thing just because something is popular and accepted it has merits and it is right, I just have to stare at this claim like a monkey at a tourist whenever I spot it. Jefferson proposed the idea that all laws and customs and history ought to be revised every generation, because the current one can no more relate to the previous than the next will relate to us. His fellow delegates smiled at him and said ‘there, there, nice theory Jeff’, ha, how right he was! We do this rather informally, and always have, always forgetting behind the ideas and attitude we should be remembering and moving on. It will lead to a wasteland unless the seeds we plant are properly tended and cared for, to a beautiful, sweet bloom.

Ah, who am I kidding, let me smell my own roses and move on.

This pretty much says it all.

YPrrrr

I still marvel that some Canadians will not tolerate any such downplaying of the Royal Family. Even modern youths, it's strange that someone so far away and with so little influence over them would represent such a meaningful part of their lives.
