If you don't mind standard def, the Easycap is okay, here is a video I made using one on my mac:

I did this on my Mac by using this Easycap viewer for the Mac, and then IShowU HD to capture footage off of my screen. I think the viewer has a recorder built in, but for some weird reason every like 5 seconds it skips a few frames for some reason, so I suggest a different screen recorder for that. For 10 bucks its not too terrible I suppose. I kind of explain it in the video if you can stand listening to me for 5 minutes
